As in previous years our greetings are linked to some of the places we have enjoyed visiting on business during 2011.

The theme this year imposed itself – money, its value and frailty at the hands of the markets and of the politicians.

It was then just a short hop to finding some interesting and in some cases funny quotes about money.

Which brings us to the conclusion that money most certainly is not everything – above all, from all of us at G&Co, we wish you good health and happiness for the year to come.

Seasons Greetings - Post Script

The quote from T Jefferson inspired comment and feedback from a number of you . . .
The best by far was this from Ken Weigel and Tom Crocker at Alston in DC . . .

Interesting quote as Jefferson died leaving lots of debts. Indeed, he was such a spendthrift on his estates and good times that the US Congress had to bail him out, and in the process they bought his collection of books which became the foundation of the Library of Congress, which the British then burned on August 14, 1814, destroying most of his collection. Full circle that!
