- ROMANIA - PROCUREMENT

G&Co welcomed for a second training visit the Romanian procurement review body, the National Council for Solving Complaints.  Andre Bywater gave a presentation on the recently adopted EU Remedies Directive and its likely impact on Romanian procurement rules and procedures.   John Grayston spoke on the application of EU and Romanian procurement rules on concessions and other forms of PPP. 


- HOW LEGAL ADVICE WILL RESHAPE FOREIGN POLICY IN THE NEXT ADMINISTRATION

The American Bar Association Section of International Law held its annual meeting in Brussels. The four day meeting took place at the Hilton Hotel. John Grayston also spoke at the conference as part of a panel presenting a Showcase Program entitled “Advising the New US President: How Legal Advice will Reshape Foreign Policy in the Next Administration”. - NEW YORK STATE BAR ASSOCIATION

G&Co is delighted to confirm that André Bywater has been made President of the Brussels chapter of the New York State Bar Association (“the NYSBA”). 
 

- CROATIA - COMPETITION LAW

André Bywater has returned to work for the Croatian Competition Agency in Zagreb under an EU funded project.  André will be supporting the Agency's work to amend and update Croatian competition laws and procedures as part of Croatia’s run-up to EU accession.
