EU UPDATE: EU Sanctions Iran
The EU has adopted the legislation needed in order to complete a substantial round of relaxation of sanctions in relation to Iran.
The measures adopted on 18 October and published in the EU Official Journal will not however enter into force until a report of compliance by Iran with the terms of the JCPOA has been presented by the Director General of the IAEA.
Current indications in Brussels suggest that this report will likely be presented during January 2016. Pending this event there is no change to the EU regime and all companies and entities which are to be delisted remain fully subject to EU measures.
