In memory of Davide Rovetta

It is with profound sadness that we confirm the death of our colleague and partner, Davide Rovetta.   Davide died unexpectedly in his sleep on 1 October 2026. Davide was a valued member of our firm. A genuinely gifted and innovative lawyer who had unrivalled experience in EU customs law, international trade and WTO matters. His work as an advocate, adviser and author made a lasting contribution to the firm and to the clients he served. Davide was also literally a larger than life personality and however difficult the situation, a joy to be with.  He was a mentor to a large number of lawyers and advisors who he had met over the years and then kept in touch with. Above all, our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go to his partner and their wonderful daughter.
 
We will all miss him deeply.

About Davide Rovetta

Davide Rovetta is an Italian trial attorney (Avvocato) with substantial experience advising and representing clients in commercial, customs and trade related matters in Italy and EU and non-EU countries.

In addition he has wide experience related to arbitration in commercial, investment and public international law matters.

He has appeared on a number of occasions as a member of a sovereign WTO Member delegation before WTO Panels and the Appellate Body as well as before tax, customs, criminal and civil Courts and Tribunals.

Davide has published widely on EU customs, trade law, arbitration and WTO issues.

He speaks and works in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
