I was so fortunate to meet Jan just around the time we were starting Grayston & Company in 2007.
Jan turned out to be a brilliant marketeer (who could forget his concertina business cards), a wonderful person to work with and a friend. Thinking about Jan makes me smile.

Jan fell ill suddenly with colon cancer at the start of the year and when I spoke to him just before he died he asked me to make sure that I tell everyone - anyone who will listen - to get tested to avoid a needless death. Please do so !
It is therefore entirely appropriate that this year our firm is making a donation to support the work of the KU Leuven Fund for Innovative Cancer Research.Sending again our deepest sympathy and support to Ann, his widow and to all members of the Taljaard clan.
