Laura Beretta is an Italian international trade advisor specializing in EU trade and customs law and Swiss preferential origin matters.

Her practice focuses on matters regarding free trade agreements, GSP regimes, tariff classification, rules of origin, customs valuation, origin marking, duty suspensions as well as exports controls and product conformity to EU standards.

She also provides companies with in-house customized training.

Laura has been identified as one of the leading trade and customs experts by the International Who’s Who Legal of Trade and Customs Lawyers.

She is Professor at the School of Management at Bocconi University, Milan, Italy, where she teaches on the post-graduate courses. She is also member of the faculty of the Master in Tax Law at SUPSI , the Professional University School of Italian Switzerland.

She has been active in EU funded technical assistance projects on customs matters with Latin American countries in the context of their negotiation of free trade agreements with EU.

Laura co-authored the first book ever published in Italy on rules of origin and has various publications in the trade field.

She holds a Ph. D in International Economic Law at Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.

Dominique is a former judge at the Belgian Competition Council (2000-2013). Prior to her nomination as a judge, she acted as in-house legal counsel to a French multinational company. 

She began her career as a commercial lawyer at the Brussels Bar, specialising in all aspects of EU and Belgian competition law, including investigations and leniency applications.

Dominique is an accredited business Mediator and Arbitrator (Cepani) and specializes in all types of commercial disputes. 

She is currently the director of the Belgian Association of Competition Law and the former deputy General Secretary and General Secretary of the International Association of Competition Law (www.lidc.org)

She is the author of various publications in the field of competition and commercial law.
